Exception during launch of HandTesting

Apr 30, 2011 at 5:31 PM

Hi Josh,

Thanks for all the great work and I'm currently trying to get MotionFx v0.2 working but I'm getting an exception while launching the HandTesting application.  (I'm able to run all the OpenNI and NITE sample application executables.)

Thanks,

Jeff

Which sensor are you using?

Try these:

Make sure that openni.xml is in the data folder under the executable.

Make sure the project configuration is building x86 rather than Any CPU.

Unplug and replug your sensor.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the quick response.

I'm using the XtionPRO.

openni.xml is under the data folder

The project configuration is building x86

I tried unplugging and replugging the sensor but it didn't change anything

Anything else I could try or any other possibilities?

Cheers,

Jeff

Ah ok, the Xtion Pro doesn't have an RGB camera so it won't be able to find an Image node. Edit openni.xml and comment out or delete <Node type="Image"> ... </Node>.

Great, it works, thanks Josh!
